The Adult Learner

Many adults have been frustrated their entire lives, wondering why reading, concentrating on school work, taking tests, getting good grades, taking notes, and organizing assignments have always been so hard. If this sounds familiar, you may have also known that you are just as smart as everyone else, but you can’t figure out why you haven’t been a very successful student. It may surprise you to know that many highly intelligent, and even gifted people, have struggled with learning disabilities that no one ever discovered. It is also possible that you were told that you have dyslexia, ADD, dysgraphia, or another learning disability, but nothing you tried seemed to help.

There are many reasons why you may be ready to find a way to make learning easier. Maybe you work for a company that requires that you take courses every year. Perhaps you are just plain bored with the work that you are doing and there is something else that you have always wanted to do. The chances are that a change in your career will require that you go to college or vocational school. The problems you’ve had in school in the past may be making you hesitate about taking such a big step.
